It was a warm autumn morning. Leaves began turning red and orange in the magical forest. Slight putrid breeze was blowing, monsters were abound. Krobelus lays wide awake in her coffers, haunted by the countless battles with hordes of monsters and dismayed from the recent failures in her quest to perfect her artifacts. "We must continue, our foes don't sleep and neither shall thee" she thought and ordered the governor to open the gates. As she walked to the garrison she ordered "scramble, there are monsters in the underground holding something valuable to me. We must go there." Quickly putting on her battle-scarred gear, they set out to the underground domain.

Meanwhile, the battalions of explorers, scouting tirelessly the underground for riches, were sending reports by the dozens as usual. The governor would quickly glance at them and continue his tasks, but this morning would turn out to be out of the ordinary. Glancing through the reports quickly he didn't notice anything unusual at first "ah, our kingdoms keep getting filled with small ruins, should ask the master to clean them up soon" he thought, but then he took a closer look, "oh Gods, it's not a 1, it's a 7! Unbelievable!" He quickly sent a message to Krobelus informing her of the valuable find.
Krobelus was already halfway through her journey to the sarcophagus when the news from the governor reached her. "March back to the capital!" She quickly ordered and added "looks like we are finally in luck, a coveted prize has been found!". On their return she quickly drafted a letter to a young aspiring friend of hers, Fenrir, "arch-ruin, go! NOW! I'll catch you en route." Luckily, Fenrir and his troops were home. He quickly set out for the arch-ruin.

The return journey seemed to take forever for Krobelus, finally, the reward that she was waiting for so keenly has been found, the suspense was making her sick. "Order seers to check the arch-ruin every couple minutes, we cannot let it slip from us!" she commanded to the governor. "Let's hope there is no invisible attack inbound.". Finally, the golden capital gates started to appear, "nearly there", she thought.
Upon her arrival the seers checked again, all clear, only Fenrir marching and there is time to join him. "Wonderful, march to the arch-ruin, make haste!" She ordered and they went to catch up with Fenrir's forces. Once they caught up, Fenrir greeted Krobelus but seemed a bit worried, "do you know how big is their army?". Krobelus shook her head, "we are going into this one blind." Over the hill a glow started to appear, it was from the magic protection shield of the arch-ruin, they were getting close. Seers checked one last time, no one else is noted, everything seems to be going as planned for once. The battle was imminent. Troops were ready, albeit they were trembling inside. None of them knew how many monsters they would have to face. The arch-ruin was dead ahead. The moment Krobelus touched the magic shield, Aegaref, the monster overlord sensed it. "Destroy the enemy!" He yelled and countless swarms of monsters clashed with Krobelus and Fenrir's troops. It was a hard and long battle, but the coveted reward was the ultimate incentive that drove the troops fear away and they persevered in this onslaught.

Krobelus and Fenrir, completely exhausted by the fight, wobbled slowly to the Aegaref's lair. Among the gold and other riches they found what they were looking for, a chest full of gems. "Finally, I found you! My precious!"
