Commander Science Dilemma

Good morning all,

I'm writing about the Commander science because having spoken to many about the topic it just seems a bit of sink.

Beyond level 1, the science does not allow any increase to actual number of heroes, just that you could hire addition Commander heroes within the number you already have.

Some have mentioned that is was unclear that the science does not actually give you another hero to command beyond the first level and since it shares the same language as the Master Explorer set of "+1 but no more than 7" they were led to believe it could allow them to control up to 7 heroes, instead of the actual 6 that the science brings them to. At levels 2 and 3 it will only allow more commander types, not more heroes.

The black gem investment is heavy for yielding a seemingly trivial benefit. I don't know anyone who would want THREE commanders except for smaller players, but ironically they are the ones furthest from this type of hero.
Why is the Commander hero locked behind such a science and what is the incentive to get so many of them that they are restricted behind these kinds of long research?

Specifically, a player will need to remove an experienced hero they already own to make room for the next commander from tier 2 or somehow buy the Master Explorer set. I don't know what a player would do to get a third commander in their ranks as any further dismissing would probably not be in the player's best interest as the old heroes are still powerful and diminishing returns of a third commander are apparent.

It is not a complaint about the Commander hero himself, but the way in which this science is setup is awkward and unclear to many.

Not to my knowledge, but it is known that the Master Explorer's set bonus language is:

"The parameters of science Heroes Managing is changed by +1, but no more than 7"

This is known (because players have it) to mean that an additional hero is given, but a player cannot have more than 7 even with other bonuses. The Master Explorer set has this language because it is the only way to get to 7 heroes.

Confusion comes from the Commander science having this language as well since it doesn't seem to actually get you there, but I suppose needs to say it just to be consistent with the Master Explorer language.

Many players will interpret the Commander science as possibly allowing them to hire up to 3 more heroes, but this is not the case I'm fairly certain.
1) Because the limit is already stated, 7 is the new universal cap, so the third level of the skill doesn't even make sense if you already control 5 from Heroes Managing (would be 8 total and not allowed).
2) Because the science does not change each level from +1 to +2 to +3, it still says +1 on the different levels, unlike the way similar sciences are incremented by changing the number each level.

This whole thing should be clarified and it would be nice to hear some reasoning behind the way the Commander science was implemented, since I don't think ANYONE will find themselves rushing to Hero Commander science 3...

the players who hired first comander received quest to hire the second hero comander. the reward is pretty atractive: a lvl 4 artifact. logical, for the 3nd comander hero the reward will be a lvl 5 artifact
it could be a good reason to study ,,hero comander" lvl 3.
or players, like me, who still work for that 475 quest and who already complete the almost quests that not need pearls.
but the ask still rest: to hire the 3rd comander, we will must fire one of old heroes?
may be it would be better if the limit will change at 8 (9 for master explorer's set or royal set)
ad another hand how someone can grow up 8 heroes at a level to become useful? we are so many and every day some players leave the game. we would fight every day, more battle per day. even we would have all cityes full of military building i don't think we could train so mutch troops to fight day and night. and to not forget the staged battle who stay above our heads like a damocles sword

Many players like me got their 5. hero as soon as possible. 1st commander is free, one needs to be fired for lv2 and another one for lv3. Definitely not worth a rnd arte.

For one of my heroes, I have stopped their growth and considering them for the long-term goal of firing/hiring of 2nd commander...not sure what I'll do to try for a third if the reward is even remotely worth it (tier 5?), but it is no priority of mine.

It'd be nice if we got another hero slot, would alleviate much of the strangle this whole situation puts us in. Especially with the new underground world coming soon I think we'll need more heroes to control our regions of the world (and missions!)

I do not understand
you study hero comander at lvl 2 and you not have 7 slots in sanctuary?!

This is really what the discussion is about. See, if it brought us to 7, then what happens with the 3rd level of Commander Science? Still only 7 and rather useless.
Or it means that the Master Explorer or Royal set for +1 Hero is useless also.

This is why we don't think the Commander Science level 2 will provide an additional hero -- just allow you to control more Commander types.

after all it is about game' setting and the admin should give us some clarifications
