I was playing, walked away to get a drink and came back to find a message telling me that I have to pay $1 to keep playing. My account is basically locked for play, only way to release it is to pay, and... really? when you practice this type of extortion you expect me to believe that you will not extort me for another payment later?

Yes, its not fair...I think they should keep it refundable...Many websites take your credit card details just to authenticate the information and then credit the money back...Amazon does it, Apple Store does it...Netflix did it...

I know this is a wrong forum but may I request you on behalf of all such players who are leaving the game to re-consider this fee. If this step is for multiboxing then keep the authentication but then please credit the money back.

I agree, it has become impossible to get apprentices to develop, they get scared away before they understand the game at all, i would be too, what kind of a scheme is this? think of another way to prevent multiboxing, and try to solve the root of the problem that has created the demand for multiple accounts, perhaps you would have to replace certain quest reward such as 250KK faction rating - THE SALT LAKE LOCATION!!! which is the main reason for creating multiple accounts, and perhaps something has to be done to the option of reusing same accounts over and over again after receiving the salt lake reward.
there are dozens of accounts in rotation, i keep seeing same names pop up around the center of the map over and over again...

Unfortunately, this payment is obligatory for all new characters. This way we can fight the multiboxing. It won't be cancelled.
