Knowing the time of a science BEFORE you start it... please?

I have been through every part of the Encyclopaedia and the forums looking for how long it takes for each science BEFORE you start it.

Being that there are several sciences that are in my quest lineup, I would like to get the fastest ones done first, but there is no way of knowing! It is a virtual crap shoot! Once one is started, some of them are a shocking amount of time (four or five days!) and there may be one or two in the lineup to be studied that may only take half a day that could be studied in order to conduct other business in the game... I realize you can stop them at any time, but then, that is a waste of precious resources! And then starting another one could take even longer!

It is obvious that SOMEONE MUST KNOW! Can it be posted in the Encyclopaedia please? This would be very helpful! At least then we all would know exactly what to expect and how to plan studying our sciences. It is very frustrating to me. I am sure I cannot be the only one.

If there is a place, and I am missing it, would you please direct me to it?

Thank you!

If you don't know something and you cant find it in encyclopaedia or here, try UK forum or any other. This game is longer in Europe then in US so there is lots of questions asked and answered ;)
For example this one I found in CZ forum, so I add link and you can try to translate it with goggle or something..

the length of time it takes to study any science all depends on how many alchemy labs you have, more labs means quicker study :)

This is something I had figured out, but, still, calculating the time would be helpful.

I also noticed that the little window that opens when you hover over the research speed, it will tell you how many things per hour (I have NO IDEA what to call it... bottles of science?) it is taking.
I realize that the less bottles you need, the less time it takes. That is a no-brainer. I want to calculate the time so I can budget them in my daytime schedule BEFORE I start them.

For instance: It is taking 422/hour for my Colonization Science which is 8245/20000. I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon until it is ready. Fine.

BUT, what I want to know, STILL, is how to figure out, prior to starting the "study", how long it takes for one science to be completed. What is the formula for this?

For instance:
  • * It takes X hours for Y Science (Y=Bottles?) with One Lab at Level One
    * If you have Two Labs at Level One, what would the formula be to figure out the time?
    * If I have Ten Labs at Level Five, what would the formula be to figure out the time?
If I have the formula for the first statement, and the percentages that each upgrade adds to one lab as it progresses, I can figure it out.

OBVIOUSLY, there is a formula, or there wouldn't be a timing system at all... so, come on developers, let's have it!

I will have to post this in the admin page, I guess... even though I feel they should be reading the forum... :P

ok, off to eat dinner :)

It's simple: You look at cost of science (in "bottles") and divide it by your income of points (per hour) of science ("bottles") and you get time in hours.

Is that what you asked?

Well, yes, in a way...

But... Here's the thing: I have three level one labs, one is 6/bottle the other two are 4/bottle... so how does this figure? THIS make no sense at all according to what it is "supposed" to be.

The one that is 6/bottle is the only [level one lab] outside of the kingdom walls. Does having the lab outside of the walls have something to do with the timing being faster? If so, what makes the difference? Or why? This is why the timing is so very confusing to me.

Understanding these mechanics are a large part of understanding the game, to me anyway. Someone has got to know the answer. :?:

http://mlgame.us/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Science you will see it say u get +30% in villages.

what u need to look it's the reseach speed

if u have like lets say 500/hour it's the total of all your lab , that mean if u learn a 5000 science it will take :

5000/500 = 10hours
10000/500 = 20 hrs etc

if u highlight the total in blue , it say how much bottle are generated by town

if you want to know the precise time you can keep clicking between different sciences to check how long they would take (except for specialization sciences)
