I failied the automatic trainer quest? How?

The information was extremely vague on how to "hire" this guy.
I did not understand the quest to have a chance to succeed without the proper information in the game.
Can this be reset once I am given understandable information on how to fulfill this quest?

quests of "hiring" are always completed by paying in black pearls.

there's a button for it on the bottom of quests' message.

perhaps the translation is unclear, in which case you can report a better suggestion to the authors/admins

I had the same problem - I also failed the quest because I didn't understand what I was supposed to do either
