i see a very low quantity of ruins, is true or only my idea ?

you need a massive sweeping with explorers (build more than one exploration center) in yours and surrounding squares. the more ruins you kill, the quicker you advance, the more black pearls you spend -> the more ruins appear and of higher levels in your range
