My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

Um, I may have messed up when playing and I upgraded some buildings instead of my main hall and now, it's near impossible to gather the necessary materials to advance. Is there any trick to getting past that? So far, I've managed to get enough money by researching some stuff and some quests showed up after but my boost is going to finish soon and I'm broke on all my resources (well the wood is coming in soon).
Please, can someone give me advice as to what to do?

[I'm not sure exactly what your setup looks like or what stage you're at, but...]

You should always be able to climb out of whatever "error" you made in resource allocation/spending. Your main hall produces wood and wood can be used to build the structures to produce other resources. If you have a market then you can sell your wood and buy the resources you need and if you are seriously in a dead-end pinch, then you can use the Exchange tab in your market to change the wood you have for the resources you need to "unstuck" yourself. (it is dismal rates in the Exchange tab)

This is if you are truly stuck, but I am sure you'll be able to get out of it -- you may have to spend a little bit of time just waiting for wood production.

Thanks, I've ended up trading my resources and playing the waiting game. its timely but I'm okay now, I think I got the gist of it (so far) I thought I completely screwed up my game from the beginning and freaked out but I think I'm safe for now.
