My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

I'm SweetPoisons; call me what ever you please so long as it's nice~

I just made my account and am now cruising wiki among other things trying to learn about the game. I have played a few others games somewhat similar to this one (i.e empire craft & lord of ultima). I am going to try not to be a total newbie in the game to start off but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

As for general starter advice, I always say to use up all your empty cells especially your village cells ( the ones outside of the walls ).
Sometimes people sit for a while with unused cells because they are planning something for it, but in my experience you generally make up any cost of a simple producing structure early on.

Also be patient! The game is pretty slow at first but it ramps up over time a LOT when you stick to it.
If we have learned anything from The Ancients it is that: if we can but last, we shall prevail.

I am new also and I have gotten started but need a mentor. Can any one help me.
