I have my market and my merchant guild and my merchant is trained. I have items that are for sale and I have the option to buy but I just cant seem to get my merchant to go to my market. I did train my merchant from my merchant guild, that is correct isn't it? He is the one who is to go to the market right? What am I doing wrong?

Maybe your gate isn't open. Or you don't have enough money to buy items from market.

You have to understand that this is pretty much the only game that does money withdrawal of this type.
There are MANY other browser based civilization games that do not have any sort of money withdrawal and people play them and put money into them just the same.

No one is forcing you to pay.
