how do i get my pop up faster it wont let me build anything now because it says i have 0 pop plz help ty

Build more cottages or start Slaves Capture missions against enemy cities (if you have an army strong enough). You can also send slaves from your other cities if you have more there. And there are some quests that give you slaves as a reward.
