How do yopu get a hero?

I just completed a quest and I can not get the item because it says "No hero in your garrison of your capital. Does anyone know how to get one?
u have to learn the science "hero managing" and then recruite a hero in the taverne that u have to build.
everyday heroes change in the tavern , and u can't use the hero if u are not captain.
