My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

If I use the level 1 version and a say, level 3 version, will they both work or will the higher level one replace the other?
These are spells that give science/hr bonus.

It`s common, that only the higher one will be applied if both scrolls are of the same kind.

Was this a definite answer or just an assumption that we don't totally know the answer to?

Scrolls with same name can't be stacked, effect will have the one with higher LVL, i think its written in the encyclopedia.
