“The Falling of the Legendary Arch Ruin”
Little did they know that today, their lives would be forever changed. The Legend, was told to children to keep them from wandering off. The Story’s, were told around campfires to try and spook the young. While other Myth’s were told of its Great Fortune that lay within its Great Wall’s.
It was just before sunrise on the first day of the sixth cycle of the 2017th year. The “Arcadian Explorer’s League” was charting the route’s that their explorer’s will follow that day. It had been just over twelve cycles since they last explored the kingdom of 72-22. The explorer’s knew they had a rough day ahead of them. This area is very dangerous to travel due to its dense “Steppe’s” and gloomy “Cursed Forest’s”.
It was just afternoon when the explorer’s took time out to rest. They were in the middle of the Cursed Forest, nearing area 25 of the kingdom, just on the edge of where the Cursed Forest meets the Steppes. As they were loading up their equipment to continue on, one of the explorers happened to come upon a hidden path. It was heading in the same direction as they were traveling so they decided to follow it cautiously.
It was 12:41 as the explorer’s were making their way along the path in area 25. Suddenly, they were overcome with delight. They could not believe what their eyes were showing them. After all these years, long last, they had come across the Legendary Arch Ruin. “The Myth’s, The Legend’s, The Stories, they are all true. The great Arch Ruin does exist.” It is rumored that there are thousands of monsters and they contain the most precious of treasurer’s. The very rare Black Gems. It is also rumored that there could be as many as 100,000 of these precious gems that can be found within the great ruins.
Without a moment’s hesitation, the Chief Explorer, ordered the remaining explorer’s to continue forward throughout the kingdom. The Chief would return to the capital to inform Lord “Jade Diamond” of their great discovery.
Lord Jade was in the War Room planning the current and upcoming battles when word arrived. He was astonished. “With this great news, there is no time to waste.” Lord Jade immediately gave the order for his “Visionaries and Spies” to investigate. “With this great find, we must have detailed reports.”
While Lord Jade was waiting for the report’s to come in, he was planning for the attack. Knowing where his Cities, Heroes and Troops are at all times, he knew he would have to carefully plan for the assault on the Arch Ruin. Looking at the “World Map”, his city “Spellistan” was only 2 kingdoms away. “We will launch our assault from there.”
The “Vision Report” came in first. It was blank. There were no armies seen on their way or leaving the Arch Ruin. This was great news. “If we act quickly, we can destroy this great ruin and claim its riches.”
The “Spy Report” took the Lord by surprise. “The Legends are true. There are more than 100,000 monster creatures and more than 40,000 of the rare Black Gems.” Not to mention other resources as well. “This will be a fierce battle. I must send my mightiest Hero with my greatest Artifact’s.” Looking over his Heroes and Troop’s report, he decided that the Paladin Hero, “Lady Dalorean” will lead his troops into battle. After further review, he realized one problem. There were not enough troops to launch an attack without suffering great losses. He must seek out another ruler of the land. “I will send a message to one of the High Lord’s asking for their assistance.”
A short time later, word came in. The High Lord “Flyin” has agreed to send assistance and an Alliance was made. He will send his Paladin Hero “Fury” and her army to assist. I would launch the assault from my city “Spellistan”. He would have his army join the assault from his city “Right”. With my Hero and army standing ready and his on guard, word was given, “Launch the Assault.”
Within the hour Lady Dalorean and Fury had arrived at the Arch Ruin. Even though the two Paladins with their armies were heavily outnumbered, there was no fear. The Paladin’s knew that the monsters were no match against them. With the magically enchanted armor and weapons that Fury brought to the battle, the monsters didn’t stand a chance. It was just after midnight when the onslaught began, the darkest of night. Spells were cast and swords were swung. The monsters were struck with such intense fear that they couldn’t even defend themselves. Within minutes the battle was over. Not one monster was left alive. Not one soul was lost. It was a glorious battle.
Immediately, Lady Dalorean returned to Arcadia by way of Spellistan. She informed Lord Jade of the glorious battle and that victory was theirs to share in. She then handed the “Battle Report” to him. After careful review, he was overcome with gladness. Not a single troop was lost and they have returned with their share of more than 40,000 of the Black Gems. With the Gold and other resources that were found, He could start upgrading his cities immediately. With the Black Gems the possibilities are endless. The people of the cities are very happy this day.
