Trial Pay Level 5?

OK I joined the game through trial pay as a cross promotion and it says I need to level up to level 5 before the cross promotion award is given. I can't see where you find out what level you are or how much more xp is needed to level up between each level.

I saw a different post that someone asked about level 5 and someone said it could takes years of play to level up 5 level. That just doesn't sound right at least not for the cross promotion reward. Can someone elaborate more on this. As while I may continue the game after level 5 if its true that takes years to get the promised reward for the cross promotion i'm thinking thats a very deceptive business practice and won't be continuing this game as don't want to deal with another company like Zynga.

So just need some clarification.

You can see a player's level on the map. If you move the mouse to a city, a hint window will show up with its properties. The number of stars in this window indicates the level of the owner. It works on your own city too.

If not years but many months will surely take to reach level 5, it's true. But a promotion award shouldn't be that hard I think. I also started this game that way, and the reward was given to me when I upgraded my capital to level 5. Maybe your case is similar. Your level as a player and the level of your capital are different things. The level of a city is shown on the map between brackets after the city name. Upgrading your city to level 5 is much easier than to reach level 5. It can be done in a few days.

I'm not sure how far you are now, but that sounds more like getting your first main building up to level 5. I think that is attainable in less than a week.

Otherwise...yes. Not sure about years but that is a lot of commitment for what I'm assuming is not a huge reward.
